Ceremonies
Shaw House is a stunning and unique venue to have your wedding ceremony and we are delighted to offer you and your guests a drinks reception to follow. These are usually available on Saturdays throughout the year, but other days can be considered depending on availability.
We offer a range of catering options to suit all tastes giving you the opportunity to spend time with your family and friends in a pleasant and relaxed environment.
Reception drinks are served in the Chandos Room which is conveniently located next to the Ceremony Room and is beautifully decorated to replicate
the 18th century dining room, originally created by the Duke of Chandos.
You also have the added benefit of enjoying the Grade II listed grounds where you can have more photographs taken whilst guests enjoy their drinks.

Celebrations
We also offer drinks receptions and afternoon tea for other events such as christenings, naming ceremonies and school reunions.
Bereavement Receptions
The quiet and tranquil setting of Shaw House, next to St. Mary’s Church, makes for a suitable location to hold a bereavement reception. We can offer a variety of rooms for receptions hosting up to a maximum of 100 guests along with options for buffets, canapes and drinks. Audio-visual equipment is available for sharing remembrance photos or videos.
Afternoon Tea
If you are looking for something more traditional, afternoon tea can be served for parties of 16 to 36 seated guests, the ideal way to celebrate with friends and family. Afternoon tea includes a selection of Fairtrade tea, finger sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones. Prosecco is also available on request.
