Mrs. Farquhar’s Afternoon Tea
Why not treat yourself to afternoon tea in the Elizabethan splendour of Shaw House. Afternoon tea includes a selection of Fair Trade tea, finger sandwiches with fillings of smoked salmon, grated cheese, Wiltshire gammon, egg mayonnaise and cress, a scone with clotted cream and locally produced jam and a generous slice of homemade Victoria sponge and fruit cake from £14.95 per person. And for a special occasion, why not add a little sparkle to your afternoon with a glass of Prosecco.
Available on select Thursday’s throughout the year at 12:00 or 2:30 pm. Please enquire for availability, places are limited and to avoid disappointment we advise you book early.
Bereavement receptions
The quiet and tranquil setting of Shaw House, next to St. Mary’s Church, makes for a suitable location to hold a bereavement reception. We can offer a variety of rooms for receptions hosting up to a maximum of 100 guests along with options for afternoon tea, canapes and drinks. Audio-visual equipment is available for sharing remembrance photos or videos.
Registrar

Wedding drinks receptions
After your wedding ceremony we would be delighted to offer a drinks reception while the happy couple have their photographs taken. Reception drinks are served in the Chandos Dining Room, which is located on the ground floor close to the Ceremony Room and can host up to 50 guests. Drinks receptions are available every Saturday throughout the year but must be the last ceremony of the day to guarantee exclusivity. Other days and times will be considered on application.
