Talk: Memorials of the Great War in West Berkshire14 November 19:00
Local historian Phil Wood will take a look at the wide variety of memorials commemorating individuals lost in World War I as well as the fallen from towns, villages, churches and workplaces. Phil has created a website www.westberkshirewarmemorials.org.uk providing pictures of the memorials and a
searchable database of the names on them, he is also researching the stories of the Newbury fallen.
