Special Exhibition: Thatcham Remembered01 November 10:00
The Thatcham Remembered exhibition features photographs from the museum collection, including many images of buildings which have since been demolished. The images cover several themes from education, public occasions and streets to religion and transport, highlighting the incredible changes that Thatcham has undergone due to major housing developments starting in the 1950’s and continuing to the present day.
Members of Thatcham Camera Club have taken modern day images of some of the old photographs which can be viewed alongside the original image on an audio-visual display. If you have any photographs of Thatcham that you would like to donate to the museum, please talk to a member of museum staff.
Runs until 18 June 2017
Our second floor galleries host a series of special exhibitions, along with Gallery 5 which can be hired to display original artwork, sculpture and crafts.
Entry to the museum is free, but donations are most welcomed.
