Heritage Walk: In the Footsteps of Newbury Artists13 August 14:30
Sunday 13th August 2017, 2.30pm
A guided walk within the mainly pedestrian town centre to see how artists have interpreted Newbury’s buildings and street scenes between the 1780s and the mid-20th century. In the days before photography, artists were vital recorders. Arguably, an artist’s eye sees more than a camera lens, and Newbury has been fortunate in having its landmarks recorded – and interpreted – by them.
